Biography of Aleksandar Alek Djonović
Aleksandar Alek Djonović was born on 4th of April 1931 in Titov Veles, Yugoslavia. He have started his education in Skoplje, Macedonia and continued in Arandjelovac, Serbia. He finishes Academy of Arts in Belgrade in 1956 under tutlidge of Marko Čelebonović. He mostly worked in Arandjelovac and have been one of the founders of traditional Art Festival "Mermer i Zvuci" (Marble and Sound) in this town. He exhibited a lot in home country and abroad and receives many recognitions for his work: Medal of the city of Milan, Italy in 1971, Medal of Work with Silver Wreath by country of Yugoslavia in 1972, Recognition by Croatian Associatio of Visual Artists in 1975, Medal of SLUJ in 1978 and September Award by the city of Arandjelovac in 1978.
Rodjen je 04.aprila 1931. godine. u Titovom Velesu. Osnovnu skolu zapoceo je u Skoplju, nastavio i zavrsio u Arandjelovcu, kai i gimnazij. Akademiju likovnih umetnosti zavrsio je1956.godine u klasi Marka Čelebonovića. Ziveo i radio u Arandjelovcu. Jedan je od osnivaca i direktora tradicionalne smotre Mermer i zvuci u Arandjelovcu. Odlikovan je: medaljom grada Milana 1971, Ordenom rada sa srebrnim vencem 1972, Priznanjem Hrvatskog drustva likovnih umjetnika 1975, plaketom SLUJ-a 1978, Septembarskom nagradom grada Arandjelovca 1978. Izlagaou zemlji i inostranstvu.
