Biography of Dušan Đ. Matić

Dušan Đ. Matić was born in Belgrade, Serbia on March 19 1939. He finishes Academy of Arts in Belgrade in 1966. He exhibited at many collective and independent exhibitions in Serbia, Yugoslavia and abroad.

World of Dušan Đ. Matić graphical works shows a view of internal landscapes instead of reality. His works include people in situatins that more resemble theater than the real life. Tone is mostly pessimistic and sad. Hs graphic works border on paintings as he intentionally reduces importance of drawing and line to give advantage to color and light.
